Vendor Partner Spotlight: A Good Catch

A Good Catch was a Vendor Partner for the SimplyNCgoods May 2024 box.  Victoria Lowe, the artist behind A Good Catch, provided T towels for this most recent subscription box from SimplyNCgoods.  Each towel included a print of Victoria’s original watercolor artwork, much of which is inspired by the Outer Banks of North Carolina

T Towel Highlight

Victoria shared a bit about her T towels with us:

“My T Towels are made from linen cotten.  They are bright, cheerful, and practical.  Designed to hang on the oven door, they instantly brighten up the kitchen and help reduce paper towel usage.”

We have already gotten feedback from subscribers who loved their towel.  Some have even decided to use it as a piece of artwork to display because the designs are so beautiful.

Victoria offered another fun use for her T towels – using them to wrap up bread or cookies for gifts or to brighten your own kitchen.

The Story of A Good Catch

Every small business has a story behind how it got started, and A Good Catch is no different.  Victoria is from England, and was kind enough to share how her story brought her creating artistic textiles in North Carolina.

From Victoria:

“After over 10 years of designing textiles and tabletop in NYC, I wanted to create my own collection and the birth of digital printing in North Carolina gave me the start I needed to do it.

Digital printing on fabric is such good quality I do not feel I lose anything in the quality or subtlety of brushstrokes or color in my art. It gives me the best surface to exhibit my work using sustainable methods whilst also making it practical and affordable.

The majority of my designs begin as watercolor paintings. I use the art to develop the designs and repeat patterns. I try to make each one capture the essence of the subject yet flow and completely compliment the product and shape it becomes.”

You can see the artistry in Victoria’s prints.  You can also see coastal inspiration in many of them, as well.

SimplyNCgoods is all about loving and sharing North Carolina.  We invited Victoria to share about something she appreciates about NC, and here is what she said:

“The variety of landscape.  The ocean, the mountains, and the diversity of culture and creativity in the urban towns.”
